According to Parks Canada, “There are more than 100 national parks, marine conservation areas and historic sites across Canada.” With it being such a big country, I’m not surprised. For my birthday, Glen and I received a Parks Canada Discovery Pass each and we’re hoping to get through a heap of them.
In addition, there are plenty of other natural sites to see that don’t come under the Parks Canada Umbrella.
I think I’ll have to resign myself to the fact that I won’t be able to see
many any of the ones in Nunavut because they’re so far away and so expensive to get to, but there are plenty others within reach.
Here’s where we’ve been on the pass so far:
- Niagara Falls
- Jardin Botanique de Montréal
- Biodome de Montréal
- Parc Mont-Royal
- Point Pelee National Park (PC)
- Point Pelee
- La Mauricie National Park (PC)
- Toronto Islands
- High Park
