Thanks to the wonders of medical training, my partner and I get to experience life in Canada from June 2013 to July 2015 (at least). While he goes to work in a Toronto hospital five days a week – through rain, hail, shine and snow storm – I’m living the dream of writing full time and planning travel.
For two Australians living in Canada, there’s plenty to see and experience – a proper winter being one of them. I can’t count the number of times people have warned me about the freezing winter. Minus 20? What is that?
But frostbite or not, we’ll see as much as we can, from islands on the Atlantic to prairies and mountains, from wildlife to nightlife.
And if you’d like to help fund our travels, I work as a freelance copywriter, editor and proofreader. I have more than eight years experience working for an environmental and government agency, with a wealth of interests including photography, film production, music, languages and more. So email me at firstname.lastname@example.org and let’s have a chat. Australian and Canadian clients welcome.
Bye for now,
